About Me
I'm a husband, father, doggie daddy, USAF veteran, and a retro enthusiast with a passion for all things geeky! With over 25 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, I'm a programmer, author of two books (Hacking Exposed: Industrial Control Systems and ChatGPT for Cybersecurity Cookbook: Practical Generative AI Recipes to Supercharge Your Cyber Skills), and the cofounder of a cybersecurity company. I also co-created the ThreatGEN® Red vs. Blue Cybersecurity Gamification Platform, a pioneering online multiplayer computer game that teaches real-world cybersecurity and is used in over 100 countries worldwide.
Throughout my career, I've published numerous technical papers and training courses on cybersecurity vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, threat research, and risk management. My goal is to revolutionize global education and cultivate the next generation of cybersecurity professionals by harnessing the power of gamification. This vision led to the creation of ThreatGEN® Red vs. Blue.
Even before ChatGPT emerged as a groundbreaking technology, I've been captivated by the potential of machine learning (ML), generative AI, and large language models (LLM) and how it can transform our lives. Far from fearing an AI-driven apocalypse, I view this innovation as the dawn of a new era filled with opportunities for everyone. I've dedicated countless hours to researching and developing applications that utilize these technologies, and now I'm eager to share my knowledge with the world.
